How To Eat After A Gastric Bypass Surgery
After a person has a Gastric Bypass operation their eating habits must change dramatically. The most noticeable is the quantity, or actually the lack of quantity. You will only be able to consume three or four meals each day and you will be required to measure your meals before consumption. You will be required to eat very slowly to ensure that you will be fully chewing all of the food before swallowing. This will also allow the nerve receptors in the stomach area to have enough time to relay the message to the brain that the stomach is full and then the person must stop right away. Carbonated beverages will need to become a thing of the past because the carbonation will cause the new, smaller stomach pouch to expand and that could cause the staple line to tear. |
