Retail Is For Those Unprepared For Life
Working in retail is really not a place most people wish to end up. No child ever grew up and said I want to work at The Home Depot. All too often people spend their days and their years running in and out of retail stores and never give a nod of approval for those that must deal with the temper tantrums and the mood swings of the portion of the population called "customers". Retail workers are pretty much always in the store somewhere and you can bet they are over worked and understaffed and yet the general population treats them like dogs. When something goes wrong at the store level of a company the person behind the counter is the person who gets the abuse. If the cash registers go offline, it is the employees fault. If the price is too high get angry at the man in the vest. If there are not enough registers open yell at the cashier. The point here is that nobody in their right mind would ever want a career in the retail sector and that is why it is so easy to make the following statement and apply it as a fact. "Retail Is For Those Unprepared For Life" So prepare well because if you do not then you too may find no exit from the retail life! |
