Who Is That Person In The Mirror?

All too often we go through our lives and whether we realize it or not we are very negative about ourselves. When it comes to losing weight we may spend more time beating ourselves down than we do in an honest effort to lose weight.

Have you ever found yourself wondering why you may not have that significant other in your life or are just not happy in your present relationship? Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe you are so critical about yourself that you are not allowing yourself to love yourself? That maybe you are too critical about yourself and only see the "bad" things? Here is a simple test for this issue. I want you to look in the mirror and when you are alone I want you try to tell yourself that you love yourself. I want you to experiment and see if you can look in the mirror and look yourself in the eye and see if you can love what you see. I want you to see if you are able to look past the wrinkles or the flab or any other "issue" that may be present. I do not want you to feel as this is a exercise in vanity because it is not. What is at issue here is why you can not lose weight. I want you to realize that in order for you to become that healthy person you desire that you have to introduce yourself to that person. That person is in the mirror and until you like what you see you will never be able to begin your journey to be that spirit within.

You need to not be so critical about yourself and start the process to being not only a healthy person but also a person that is happy within themselves. Do not scoff at the idea of telling the person in the mirror you love them without qualification. Many, many individuals do not have the ability to look in the mirror and not hate or criticize what they see. All too often the desire to lose weight causes a person to hate the person they are and that hatred alone can be the cause of a failure in your weight loss attempt.

Learn to love what you see in the mirror and then maybe you will be able to free your inner being to have the physique you want. After all, it is only your body that is overweight and your spirit is actually perfect in size and shape. Love yourself and you may find it easier to lose the weight and actually be happy for the first time in a long time.
